Public Employment Programmes

The public employment sub-unit is responsible for all programmes aimed at job creation for unemployed individuals that mainly come from indigent households.  These programmes include the Department of Public Works’ Extended Public Works Programme, the Department of Sports and Recreation’s Sportsfield Caretakers programme, the Department of Environmental Affairs’ Good Green Deeds programme, the Department of Cooperative Governance and Tradition’s Community Works Programme.
