Community Services Profile

Ms Nonhlanhla S’thabile Mkhize joined the Senior Management Team of Mkhambathini Municipality in November 2017, after serving for about 5 years at Umngeni Municipality as Manager for Performance Management.

Her passion for community advancement has taken her through various institutions within the public service space, having worked for six years in various Non-Governmental Originations as projects manager, three years at the Human Sciences Research Council serving in the management team of an international study and later joining the local government space.

Ms Mkhize holds a Masters Degree in Social Science – Policy and Development, obtained from the University of KwaZulu Natal.  Her field of study includes Community Resources Management as well as Economics.  She has further attained various local government executive leadership and management training.  She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Studies in Policy and Development.
