Social Development Programmes

The Social Development Programmes include HIV/AIDS, Youth and Sports Development, Special Programmes and Operation Sukuma Sakhe and Public Employment Programmes.

The HIV/AIDS sub-unit is responsible for coordinating HIV/AIDS and health related programmes that promote preventative health care, adherence and support through promotion of community-based programmes that create awareness, educate and empower the community of Mkhambathini Municipality.  This sub-unit is also responsible for coordination of the Local Aids Council which is a multi- sectoral structure where collaborative strategic decisions on interventions to resolved upon.
